Student Leaders 2018

Last week we had over 20 Grade 5 students deliver wonderful speeches. It was a very impressive ceremony, the children spoke beautifully.

All children in Grade 3, 4 & 5 voted & the results are:

§  School Captains – Jack Taylor & Mirriam Tippet

§  Vice Captains – Tom Pratt & Summer Roberts

§  SRC President – Imogen Morgan & Cody McKerrow

Congratulations to these students, they will make fantastic leaders. There will be an official presentation early next year

There will be many other opportunities for leadership in 2018 and I encourage all students to “put their hand up”

Forensic Science Videos

During Term 3 our Year 6 students were involved in making videos to show preventative actions that can be taken in the community. Six other local schools were also involved in this program. There were 3 categories that could be entered: theft, burglary and theft from a car. Our students won the category ‘theft from a motor car.’ Congratulations to Tahlia, Ethen, Darci and Oscaray with their message to keep belongings out of sight when your car is unsupervised. The catchy message is ‘LCC: Lock it, Conceal it, Cover it! Thank you to ‘One Idea’ the Commercial Production Company who professionally filmedthe students. The video will be shown on Prime 7 TV - January and February 2018AC

Grade 6 Transition to Secondary School

Next Tuesday & Wednesday our Grade 6 students head off to experience a taste of Secondary School. I know they are all very excited and I wish them all the best. Please support them if they are nervous, as this experience can be daunting for some.
