Supporting students at home sends a powerful message to students, that their learning is important and worthwhile. Homework also nurtures the three -way relationship between student, parents and school that is a corner stone to student success. Please refer to our Homework policy on the website.
Reading
Students in Grade Prep - 2 will bring home a little book to read to you each day. Students in Grades 3-6 are expected to read independently every day for at least 30 minutes. This is part of their homework routine.
• Establish a quiet time for reading together. This could be part of a bedtime routine. • Read with your child in English and / or your mother tongue. • Reading together is a pleasurable activity. Your child’s teacher can help you find books that are interesting to your child and match their stage of development.
